House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been under serious pressure lately. Ever since Jon Ossoff’s historic loss, many House Democrats have decided they can no longer keep quiet over their doubts about Pelosi’s toxic political brand.

Things took a serious, new turn for Pelosi today though, when a member of Pelosi’s own leadership team, Congressman Tony Cardenas (D-CA), refused to support Pelosi’s continued leadership of House Democrats:

While this is significant and new development for Pelosi, it’s not out of line with the current trend of House Democrats speaking out and suggesting a chance in leadership is necessary. After losing all four House special elections, a growing number House Democrats are now quite willing to say that the status quo is unacceptable.
