Senator Joe Donnelly (D-IN) still doesn’t seem to appreciate the gravity of his outsourcing hypocrisy. When the Associated Press broke the news that Donnelly had made tens of thousands in profit from his brother’s company, which outsources labor to Mexico, Donnelly never even apologized. All Donnelly did was sell his stake in the company, not exactly a noble sacrifice when the outsourcing-tainted money goes right into his pocket.

Donnelly’s latest comments highlight how out-of-touch he really is. Speaking with Fox-Indianapolis, Donnelly attempted to diminish his hypocrisy by calling the story a “distraction,” adding that he only wants to “focus on the right things”:

Indiana voters must be shocked to learn that Donnelly doesn’t believe keeping your word falls under his “right things” to focus on. In the past, Donnelly has called outsourcing “wrong,” “cynical,” and “unpatriotic.” Yet all the while he was making huge profits from a company that was sending American jobs to Mexico. Donnelly’s credibility on this issue has been compromised irreparably.
