Quist To Perez: Thanks, But No Thanks

Tom Perez’s tenure at the Democratic National Committee has been rough. Perez’s lewd language has led to repeated condemnations. Now the DNC Chairman is being told to stay away from the Montana Congressional special election.

Perez offered to come campaign with Democrat Rob Quist, but Quist rejected the offer:

“Rob Quist, the folk music star-turned-Democratic House candidate in Montana’s special election, declined an offer for the Democratic National Committee chair Tom Perez to campaign for him in the state, an inside source says.”

After the fiasco of a unity tour Perez just went on, this is the last thing Perez needs. Quist’s rejection of Perez shows that the divide in the Democratic Party between establishment and grassroots is still a major negative for the party.
