Tom Perez AKA Hillary 2.0 Even Has His Own “Clinton-Esque” Email Scandal

New DNC Chairman Tom Perez is off to a rocky start. First there were all his bad fact checks for making untrue statements. Now a new report highlights that just a year after the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee was derailed by an email scandal, their new party chairman has one too.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, congressional investigators uncovered the fact that Perez used his personal email to conduct DOJ business over 1,200 times:

“Congressional investigators found that Perez used his personal email account to conduct DOJ business 1,200 times since 2009, and the department conceded in a letter to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform that Perez had committed at least 34 violations of the Federal Records Act.”

Like Clinton, congressional investigators concluded that Perez “likely violated both the spirit and letter of the Federal Records Act.” Making matters worse for Perez, he ignored a subpoena from the Congress:

“Perez was confirmed as Labor Secretary in 2013 despite his decision to ignore the subpoena from Congress. The subpoena was seen as a reason that Perez was not tapped to succeed Eric Holder as attorney general.”

Perez was already being called Hillary 2.0, and now that his own email scandal is back in the news, that moniker isn’t going away anytime soon.
